Clara

Clara has always loved Elvis Presley. Her daughter had shared with us that when she was little, she recalls that her Mom would play Elvis records all of the time. She also recalled that when she was a teenager, she remembers watching Elvis movies with her Mom.

To bring joy to Clara and provide her with a lifelong dream to meet “Elvis”, our care team and Clara’s family thought it would be great to bring in an Elvis impersonator to meet Clara.

So, at the end of November, with family and friends invited, we had an Elvis impersonator come to The Atrium to meet Clara. Elvis provided Clara with a special meet and greet, sang to her and gave her his scarf!

Afterwards he sang for all of our residents. Clara sang with him and swayed to the music in her chair.

We know this event warmed our resident’s heart! It was wonderful to see just how much Clara enjoyed meeting Elvis and hearing his special performance! Her family also could not have been happier -they were in tears as they watched and saw the smile on Clara’s face during the performance!
