Mary
Mary has had a passion for ponies all her life. Mary enjoys sharing stories about her childhood especially living in Dodgeville, a small rural community west of Madison, WI. Mary had a birth defect involving her lower extremities, requiring assisted devices for ambulation. Her pony Polly was her means of transportation to school and back, as well as, her recreation. Her daughter commented that Mary always admires and comments on the horses in the fields when they are out in the country. Mary was very elated when she found out that Boaz came to Milestone to viist her.

Tura
Tura Gruber loves to share her stories of the numerous events of her life. One of her loves was cake decorating. She made over a hundred wedding cakes and many other special occasion cakes, as well as, teaching cake decorating through the technical college for several years. When Life Enrichment Director, Gail DeYoung approached Tura about the idea of teaching residents basic cake decorating techniques, for Cake Decorating Day, she was excited. She immediately informed Gail of all the supplies needed and all the other details she felt were important to teach.
She stated that her "hands were not steady enough to demonstrate" but that she would love to assist. After the basic techniques were demonstrated each of the residents used their skills to decorate their own cupcakes. Tura was thrilled to share her photo album of the many cakes she has created.
