Schedule My TourDreams Come True
There’s no time like the present to try a new adventure, revisit memories, or bond with friends and family. Your dream may be big, or small. It may be riding a horse for the first time, attending a sporting event with grandkids, or revisiting a childhood home.
Your dreams are important to us because they are important to you. They are what make you unique.
Our signature Dare To Dream program recognizes the special hopes and aspirations of our residents–and then makes them a reality! We aim to make at least one resident’s dream come true each month in our community.

Stories From Our Community
Lois
Lois was a farm lady however in her spare time likes to read. She often spoke about how she always wanted to become a teacher because of her love for reading.
She sat down and talked to me about how important that reading is to her and he was wondering if there was anything that she could do here in Lawton Senior Living.
I told her to let me think about what we could do.
So, after thinking awhile I asked her if she would like to read the DALIY Chronicle to the group instead of me reading it? She was delighted to do it and she does an amazing job! We also added for Lois “A Cup of Comfort Devotional “and a Portals of Prayer that she reads to every morning.
Also, another Dream was fulfilled when we added On Tuesday from 10am-11am Preschool kids come in, and Lois does story time with them and we also do a craft with them.
We are so thankful for Lois’ great ability to read to and to fulfill her wish to read to people that can not do it anymore and also for all the residents to join in on the Tuesday morning reading to enjoy children of the surrounding communities.
Audrey
When Audrey moved into Lawton Senior Living in late fall of 2019. She was not sure what this was going to be like. She talked to Denise and thought it was going to not be the place for her.
When talking with other staff and Denise she said that she was always busy at home doing things and the one thing that she was going to miss was Baking. She loves to bake.
Denise suggested that she should get together and talk with the LEC and she how they could coordinate it into the Department. So, Audrey did just that.
Two days later the LEC had her in the activities room and away she went started to bake cookies for the resident’s coffee talk.
Ever since she has been baking every Monday and Thursday, Audrey takes great pride in her baking and does an amazing job.
We are excited to have such a good baker baking for us twice a week.
Ken
Ken spent 42 years as a University Professor and during that time he served as the official bell ringer for the university’s annual outdoor track and field event. Ken and his wife Betty are still avid fans of track and field, and were excited when Jaybird’s Dare To Dream program offered them the opportunity to attend last year’s meet. While there, Ken reunited with many of the officials he worked with at past events, and they helped make his dream come true – ringing the track meet bell one more time.
